The Learning Possibilities Store contains books by authors that had a reading or learning disability. I have also included parent resources by authors that also had a learning disability such as dyslexia.
These books will be very encouraging to your child as you read them together. Your child will see that they aren't the only ones in the world who struggle with learning to read.
The resource books should also be encouraging to every parent who has a child with a learning disability, dyslexia or ADHD as the books are by authors who struggled with these disabilities and have been successful despite their struggles while growing up.

Henry Winkler, also known as "The Fonz" from a 1970's TV Series called Happy Days, wrote his series for elementary age children called "Hank Zipzer" based on his own struggles with reading. He says that he didn't read a book until he was 31.
Here's a quote by Henry Winkler, author of
"...everybody has a gift, and I tell every child I meet, whether they have asked me or not, "You have greatness inside you, and your job is to figure out what that is, dig it out, and give it to the world because the world needs everything, every one of you."
Avi has written over 75 books for all ages and in all genres. He has won the Newberry Award three times and has won several other awards for his books despite his struggle with dysgraphia, a writing disorder.

These other specialty book stores which are included in the Reading Cornerstone Store were created just for you so that you don't have to browse thousands of books only to obtain a book that may not be right for you. I have included not only books that I have read but books that have been recommended to me by colleagues.
