This amusing 5 minute video storybook, Lickety, the Squirrel Who Loves Birdseed, has captions to motivate students to read while watching the video or an adult can read it to them. The reading level is about 2nd grade and above.
Have you heard of Pinterest ? This is another Social Networking Site. HOWEVER, this site is more like a giant bulletin board! Each individual makes a themed bulletin board and then "pins" pictures to it. That individual will share the things s/he has pinned with others. This is a great way to find DIY projects, recipes and other "useless" information. IT'S FUN!
This is an example of stuff that is posted. This is on my board "Practical Bookshelves".
Pinterest is by invitation only. If you would like to be invited, then share my Face Book Page with your friend(s). Send your friends to this link. Have them fill out the form (similar to the one below). When I receive it, I will then send you an invitation to join Pinterest.
IF you are already a Pinterest member, send me the URL of the board you think I would be interested in and I will follow you. HINT: Look at my boards and see what I like!
...where we will discuss education issues, learning disabilities, share ideas and much more.
