I have created this family health resource for you so that you don't have to look through thousands of books and videos to determine which one is for you. I believe in eating right and exercising on a regular basis. Research has found that there is a link between poor exercise and eating habits and learning difficulties.
Parents who home school have an added stress of being a teacher as well as being a parent. Therefore home educators need to take care of themselves as well as enforce good exercise and eating habits in their children just as if they were going to public school and attending a PE class regularly.
Think about purchasing an exercise video that you can do with your children.
One way to keep track of your activity is with a step tracker. I have one and I love knowing how active I have been and how much more steps I need to do everyday to reach 10,000 steps.
Here are some suggestions for adults.
Step trackers are also beneficial for your child. Having your child use a step tracker also helps you see if they are being as active as you want them to be. Think about giving your child a step tracker instead of a watch.
Here are some attractive step trackers for kids.
One of the best ways to teach your children about healthy eating is to get them involved in preparing the meals they are going to eat. Here are some cookbooks for the entire family.
Check out these other specialty books stores made just for you.
These other specialty book stores which are included in the Reading Cornerstone Store were created just for you so that you don't have to browse thousands of books only to obtain a book that may not be right for you. I have included not only books that I have read but books that have been recommended to me by colleagues.
