One way to help a struggling reader gain confidence with reading is for them to listen to the book on tape AS they read along in the book.
Children who struggle with reading are often left out of discussing books with their friends because they haven't been able to read the same books. Investing in audio books not only helps your child to gain appreciation for books but also helps them gain needed background knowledge for future subjects that will be discussed in the classroom.
Check with your local library for audio books of your favorite children's books. Libraries usually have some children's books and an accompanying tape as a check out set. If not then you can purchase the tape from this site at the Audio Books 4Kidz Store.
REMEMBER: purchasing your audio books, reading products and curriculum from this site helps me to pay the cost to keep this site up and running.
